This interactive workshop explores
the interplay between sound, movement and attitude and their energizing effect on the nervous system.
The language of music is used as a metaphor for managing life.
The complexities of caregivers professional and personal experiences are reflected and explored through improvisation, as well as vocal and movement techniques.
Strategies for preventing compassion burnout are the primary focus of the workshop. Addressing participants physical tension patterns and vocal exploration are the main vehicles for experiencing rejuvenation.
Exercises focus specifically on identifying, releasing and even finding joy in the range of strong and sometimes difficult emotions that are a part and parcel of caregiving.
Vocal expression, combined with breath, movement, attitude, imagery and sounding exercises, becomes a transformative method for hearing the inner voice, for self-care and self-integration. Participants consistently report that Bisia’s sessions make them feel good as individuals and cohesive as a group
